Amano Hashidate is a piece of heaven on earth, one of our favourite places in Japan. Just before moving there, we had a great dinner at Chef-artist Koji Ueshima in Gion (old Kyoto).



Le Sarment d'Or is one of Kyoto's finest restaurant. The list of Burgundy wines is just amazing.



It all started with a tasting of black Truffles from St Cosme in Gigondas (limestone soils) and and St Vincent (clay soils) brought by Louis Barruol. It inspired Chef Koji for creating amazing cuisine which we paired with Baron Louis 1995, Gigondas Valbelle 1995 and Chambertin Trapet 2004 ...








Then Yamazaki san drove us to Amano Hashidate under the snow... and yes, we sailed in this ideal landscape ...



We enjoyed a delicious family dinner with traditional Nabe and Matsuba-gani (one of the finest crab).











Music and wine go so well together.



Louis has become not only a famous vigneron but also a manga star with Kami no shizuku
