The Rhone Gang met yesterday night in Saint Cosme to celebrate the harvest with our friends Midori from Japan and Sunjoo from Korea. They are both going home very soon after a great experience of winemaking in the south of France and travelling around the world.

We tasted so many different wines : a sparkling Chenin from Xavier Weisskopf in Loire, a great collection of Sauvignon Blanc (Germany, New Zealand, Sancerre from Mellot and Pouilly Fume from Dagueneau) and Xarel Lo from Penedes, then a collection of serious red wines from Spain (Penedes, Priorat, Ribera del Douero and Rioja), Italy (beautiful Pinot Noir from Val d'Aoste) and Rhône (Vieux Telegraphe, H. Bonneau and Montfaucon).

The tasting ended with a bottle of Marsala from 1880 brought by Rudi !

Everyone could enjoy good food and wine, and sing with Arnaud's 12 string guitar. Happy birthday to Midori and Fred !
