Auvergne is a region on the rise for fine Pinot Noir in Central France. Cultivated since the days of the Romans in this volcanic region, the vineyards cover the steep hills up to a height of 530 meters. This unusual situation, combined with a mostly basalt, clay and limestone soils, produces wines with freshness and red fruit character. Arnaud de la Chanonie, whose family's roots are Auvergnates, selected this wonderful Pinot Noir offering an exceptional value.

Do not forget to bring a bottle of Avitus Pinot when you go for a picnic. Let's roll !
